So far, the subject of this blog has been design, or more generally, Things That Grab Dave Kapell's Attention. The thing I'm coming to realize is that I'm not really grabbed by some design or cultural phenomenon every day, or even once a week, which makes for an infrequent blog. So I'm broadening the subject matter to a more mundane standard; you might call it What I Saw Today.
Here's what I'm seeing right now: Here in the Twin Cities, spring burst into existence over the past week, and the treetops are glowing a light, translucent green; in a couple of days they will be opaque heavy green foliage clouds. It happens so suddenly, and every year I'm surprised again! It's sunny and windy and warm and muggy today. The Walker Art Center opened to great fanfare over the weekend, and I'm planning to check it out for myself tomorrow if it's the rainy day the weather people are forecasting. I'll report back on that next time...
